A: “Queer or questioning”. Some confusion has arisen from this, because the use of multiple Q’s has an additional purpose: Each extra Q increases the strength of the queerness, just like in musical notation. For example:
Q - Queer
QQ - Queerissimo (“very queer”)
QQQ - Queerissimo possibile (“as queer as is humanly possible”)
QQQQ - Queerondoando (“I bow down to your superior queerness”)
QQQQQ - David Bowie
Yep.
After the Jim Henson Company posted a message on their site, disavowing and dissolving their merchandise partnership with Chik-Fil-A over their stated positions on gay and lesbian marriage, at least one Chik-Fil-A restaurant posted this.
I don’t know if this was a corporate memo or if it was only the one restaurant, but it sounds pretty corporate-speaky to me:
“We apologize for any inconvenience but as of 7/19/2012 Chick-fil-A has voluntarily recalled all of the Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Puppet Kids Meal toys due to a possible safety issue. Please be advised that there have not been any cases in which a child has actually been injured, however there have been some reports of children getting their fingers stuck in the holes of the puppets. We are offering a substitution of a complimentary kids Icedream cone in its place until a replacement toy is available.”
Translated: “You made us look bad, we’ll tell people your toys hurt children!”
As I’ve learned from my time at Liberty University, lying to cover up your own bigotry is a Christian value.
and stupid isn’t a synonym for bad. that’s ableism, can we not have that in our gay rights please?
Now it can be told. Vintage 1964 ad for Allan.
He’s Ken’s “buddy”
Oh I say.
Lucky Ken!
I do not understand how someone could kick their child out on the street period, let alone for just being who they are (because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity).
It just disgusts me and makes me so angry that youth actually have to worry about these things — have to worry about “coming out” (which they shouldn’t even have to do, because being LGBT should be accepted), have to worry about where they will stay or how they will live if their parents kick them out, have to worry about SO many things.
The end of this article made a really good point:
It’s all too easy to see LGBT homeless youth as an invisible population, but there is a very visible onslaught of anti-gay and anti-trans propaganda specifically targeting parents to raise their fears of the LGBT community. Rather than protecting children, the anti-gay efforts led by conservative evangelical Christians may very well be causing the exact kinds of child abuse that they blame LGBT people for.

Want to rant about this on Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter? Gay supporters, the lot of ‘em. In fact, just unplug your computer. Alan Turing is the man responsible for you having a personal computer and he was chemically castrated for being gay.
Shut the hell up and eat your Oreos.
